Why Egypt first is the right order
Every shape runs Egypt before Dubai, and the order is doing real work. Egypt is the demanding half — early starts, big sites, a lot of walking on old stone. Dubai asks almost nothing of you: hotels do the pampering, distances are air-conditioned, and the desert safari is an evening's entertainment rather than an expedition. Finishing there turns the last third of the trip into a built-in decompression — the same logic as ending a Nile itinerary on a beach, with skyscrapers instead of coral.
The flight between Cairo and Dubai runs around four hours, and both cities are hub airports — which is the quiet practical advantage of this pairing: most travellers can route home directly from Dubai without backtracking.
